„How To Make A Film In 12 Days”

The second part of the “Transylvanian Moviepreneurs” project will focus on the film industry, so in September the main objective will be to make a short film.
The project is aimed at young professionals aged 22-35 from the audiovisual area (Film, Theatre, Television, Journalism, Digital Media etc.) who have a minimum expertise in 5 areas of activity – directing-scriptwriting, image, editing, production and acting.

The Film Bootcamp lasts 12 days. During the bootcamp, trainees will have the opportunity to assimilate both theoretical and practical information from top trainers from the national and international film industry.

The workshop is divided into 5 study groups, as follows: directing-scriptwriting (3 positions), image (3 positions), editing (3 positions), production (3 positions), acting (6 positions).

The Film Bootcamp is divided as follows:

- 4 days theoretical and practical courses, depending on the category of study;

- 1 day for a project pitch in front of a panel of trainers and also training of the production team from among the bootcamp participants. The second part of the day will be spent casting for roles in future short films from among the acting group trainees;

- 2 days pre-production of the short film;

- 2 days production of the short film;

- 2 days post-production of the short film;

- 1 day screening, feedback și Q&A.

The event will take place in Cluj-Napoca from 20 September to 3 October 2021.

Participation in the event is free of charge and the organizers will provide all the necessary logistical means to make the final short film. Lunch and coffee break are also provided.

Under the banner „How To Make A Film In 12 Days”, the organisers of the bootcamp propose an innovative concept whereby they provide the trainees, trainers, logistics, filming equipment, and the participants will make the final short film in a pre-established working environment.

The short film to be produced at the end of the bootcamp will focus on the LGBTQ+ sexual minority , a minority that is underrepresented in Romanian cinema.
