Cultural entrepreneurship. Budding entrepreneurs.

International business coaching opportunities

The cultural entrepreneurship project “Transylvanian Moviepreneurs”, funded by EEA Grants 2014-2021, within the framework of the RO-Culture Programme run by the Ministry of Culture through the Project Management Unit (PMU) is aimed at a target group of 40 professionals from the cultural and creative industries who want to develop their skills in the creative and entrepreneurial field.

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the cultural-creative ecosystem by developing the knowledge of professionals in the field of cultural entrepreneurship, cultural cooperation and community building. One of the specific objectives of the project is the development of entrepreneurial skills of more than 40 professionals in the cultural-creative sector, including the deepening of the specific knowledge of 18 film industry professionals and the development of the audience participating in the dissemination of the film production resulting from the film bootcamp.

The project is aimed at individuals interested in setting up a business in the creative-cultural sector or entrepreneurs in creative-cultural businesses, aged 20-35, resident in Romania and having at least completed secondary school.

The programme provides support to members of the target group through two sessions of entrepreneurship courses (April and May 2021), together with specialised trainers, where they can present their business ideas and then build a business vision and a business plan. Moreover, the programme's aim is also focused on creating a well-established community in the cultural-creative area

The cultural entrepreneurship project "Transylvanian Moviepreneurs" also involves a study visit to Iceland, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations through exchange of experience, jobshadowing, where interactions with cultural-creative entities and assimilation of procedures and policies in the cultural-creative field will take place. Members of the Civitas Foundation and 23 FILM team will gain professional knowledge and best practice models on cultural entrepreneurship from the working visit to Iceland, as well as technical information in the field of cinema and film production. All these practices will be adapted and translated to the Romanian space, contributing to the improvement of the cultural-creative sector in Romania.
